GOAL:
This article describes how to configure a SpeechMike III to suppress the noise of clicking the buttons on the device.
Note: RSDK version 2019-07U6 writes the firmware version and firmware settings for Philips dictation devices into the RSDK logfile.
PREREQUISITE:
Make sure you have the latest version of Philips SpeechControl (successor of Philips Device Control Center).
Make sure you have the latest firmware installed on your Philips SpeechMike (HOWTO: update Speechmike Firmware)
SOLUTION:
- Start the application "Philips SpeechControl"
- Connect the SpeechMike to the computer (when the SpeechMike has been recognised by Philips SpeechControl, the device name will be shown in the "Active Device" window
- Click "Device"
- Click "Download" to download the current settings from the SpeechMike to the Philips SpeechControll application
- Click "Advanced settings"
- Button Click - Enable "Enable Suppress button click noise filter"
- Click "Upload" to upload the settings to the Philips SpeechMike
- You can now close Philips SpeechControl and unplug the Philips SpeechMike
