Open or create a document


Within minimised view, if no document has been created or opened, a new document can be created by simply clicking ‘new document’.

When a new document button is pressed, a document is created using the document properties (workflow, Worktype etc.) which are applicable form the Client application.

When a document is created based on an appointment the patient banner, document title and identification are presented.

Document title is presented as well as the identification on which the document is based (patient id, sample id, observation id etc.).
The NHS approved micro patient banner shows available patient information.

Recording and instruction

To start recording, press the microphone button. In recording state, the mic changes to a pause button and the recorder shows the dictation length. The user can check the incoming audio volume by means of a green VU bar at the bottom.
All hardware supported in normal client view is supported in minimised view.

The user can record an instruction by pressing the “instruction” text next to dictation. The instruction recorded in the minimised UI is handled in the same manner as normal instruction is handled and will be played to the transcriptionist before the dictation. Toggle to “dictation” to go back.

To playback a part of the dictation, simply drag the recorder to the beginning of the dictation or to the desired position and press the play button.
