Finishing the document
In the lower part of the application you will find the suspending and forwarding buttons on the right-hand side.
Forwarding the document Once the document has been typed out and corrected, you can forward it. You do this by selecting “Finish” at the bottom-right of the screen. The document is then forwarded to the next phase that is scheduled within the document’s workflow.
If you hover the mouse over the “Finish” button, you can see what the next phase in the workflow is; it will be displayed in orange.
Depending on the settings in your user profile, you can send the document, after transcription and alongside the pre-set activity, to one or more other activities. The possible following activities for sending the document depend on the workflow of the document. Examples are “Review”, “Sign Off” and “Complete”.
If you hover your mouse over the “Forward” button, you can see what the possible transitions are; these buttons are grey.
Suspend the document temporarily, for yourself It may occur that when typing or correcting a document you are interrupted by a telephone call or an emergency. You may want to be able to suspend the document temporarily and resume checking it later. You can do this by clicking the “Suspend” button at the bottom of the screen.
Suspend for department It may occur that when typing or correcting a document, you want to engage the help of a colleague. You can do this by opting for ‘Suspend for department’. In this way the document can be opened by your transcription colleagues in the same department.
