Linking a document

When a document is created from the Clinic Worklist it is automatically linked to a patient or appointment identification. When the New document functionality is used a patient identification can be entered to link it.
When a document is created without an identification or imported from a voice recorder it can be linked to an identifier.
For this a ‘Link’ option is available with the document.
This opens a dialog where the identification can be entered directly.

From this dialog a search button opens a search screen based in the patient identification and a data range. It returns all known Appointments, Visits, Orders, Observations or Samples known within the platform linked to this patient.
To make sure the correct patient identification is entered a patient banner shows additional information for verification.

In addition, if the correct identifier isn’t known using the ‘New Document’ feature, the search functionality is available.
Note: when searching on a patient identifier that is shared across patients, a dialog will appear where the user is asked to select the target patient based on name, gender and birthdate.
