EN - SpeechReport Client - what can you do with the SpeechReport Client?

SpeechReport Client

With SpeechReport Client you can dictate, transcribe and send documents. Depending on your role and given rights, SpeechReport will enable you to dictate digitally or to dictate with speech recognition. In both instances the words you dictate are recorded.
What is a digital document? When an author dictates, the recording is saved digitally and the document is then sent for processing. The transcriptionist or transcription service does this for you. The author can receive the transcribed document again for review or sign off.
What is front-end speech recognition? When you speak the words into a device, speech recognition converts these into written text. The computer displays the text you have dictated. You can check the text directly and correct it where necessary. We call this front-end speech recognition.
What is server speech recognition? As an author you may also opt to dictate digitally and then send your file to a server for recognition. The speech recognition engine in the server recognises your words, transcribes the text and sends it on to a transcriptionist for checking or further processing. You will ultimately receive the transcribed and checked text for sign off.
With SpeechReport Client you can do the following
▪ Create, transcribe and authorise letters, patient reports and instructions
▪ Copy and paste text from previous documents, change text and change text formatting
▪ Create your document quickly by using voice commands
▪ Create an overview of your appointments easily and link these to documents to be created
▪ Patient information is readily available in the clear patient banner
▪ Look at previous letters based on the Patient information
▪ Connect to client-side integrations like Radiology PACS systems (see “Integration manual for the SpeechReport Platform”)

What can SpeechReport do for you?
SpeechReport enables you to create letters, reports and documents quickly. Using speech recognition or digital dictation, the final document is available to you much quicker than if you had to type or dictate to your transcriptionist.
SpeechReport takes on much of your work, but you will need to make a minor effort to let the program work for you. This means that you need to calibrate your microphone, like a SpeechMike or a Voice Recorder, for crystal-clear recording of your document. It also means that you or your transcriptionist will need to correct the speech recognition if it misinterprets your words. We call this the speech recognition engine’s learning ability. Words which were formerly unknown are then recognised as the speech recognition gets to know your voice profile better. These two aspects will benefit your productivity.

SpeechReport Workflow and Roles
It is possible to set up one or multiple workflows in SpeechReport depending on the distribution of work structure across the hospital. The workflow consists of a number of modules, for example dictation, transcription, signoff and completion. Depending on the roles of the user, they will have access rights to these modules. For instance, an author will have rights to dictate, signoff and view documents after completion and a transcriptionist will have access to transcribe, complete and view documents.
